ABOUT THE
EVENT

L'Artiste en Moi, an innovative event conceptualized by Cheffe Vanessa Lambert, offered an extraordinary journey into the heart of Ancient Rome. Designed as a multisensory experience, this first edition transported guests into a world of imperial splendor, blending gastronomy, art, history, and performance into an unparalleled feast for the senses.

From the moment they stepped into the venue, guests were greeted as Roman elites, welcomed by hosts dressed in tunic and toga, and led into a breathtaking setting reminiscent of the grand banquet halls of antiquity. Every detail was carefully curated: towering marble columns, intricate frescoes, golden candelabras, and fragrant floral arrangements, all designed to recreate the ambiance of an opulent imperial feast.

The evening unfolded in true Roman fashion, following the structure of a traditional convivium—a banquet that was as much a celebration of philosophy and art as it was of food. The event was enhanced by live music, poetic recitations, theatrical performances, and interactive storytelling, ensuring that every moment was an invitation to step further into history.

A WORD FROM THE CHEFFE

For me, food is more than sustenance—it is a canvas, a story, a journey through time. With L'Artiste en Moi, I wanted to create an experience where history, art, and gastronomy converge, allowing guests to not only taste the past but to live it.

THE EVENT

At the heart of L'Artiste en Moi was an exceptional gourmet menu, masterfully designed by Chef Vanessa Lambert to honor the culinary traditions of Ancient Rome while infusing them with a modern gastronomic twist. Using historically accurate ingredients and techniques, each dish was a tribute to the flavors enjoyed by the Roman aristocracy.

One of the most striking elements of the evening was the seating arrangement, inspired by the Roman triclinium—the lavish dining lounges where the elite reclined on plush couches while feasting. This tradition, reserved for the privileged classes in ancient times, was reinterpreted for modern guests, offering them the chance to dine as emperors once did, draped in comfort and surrounded by the glow of flickering oil lamps.

To lie back and enjoy a meal in this manner was an act of indulgence, power, and sophistication—a break from the rigid table settings of today, inviting conversation to flow freely and revelry to unfold naturally. Between courses, attendants offered scented handwashing rituals, a nod to the Roman emphasis on refinement and sensory pleasure.
